The revitalisation of the Meralco Theater is one of the more technically demanding commissions in the portfolio. The project required a thorough understanding of the existing building before a single design decision could be responsibly made.
Carmela Dela Cruz led the as-built documentation phase — conducting site visits, taking field measurements, and producing a detailed Revit model of the theater using 3D scanning technology. This work formed the authoritative basis for all subsequent design development and construction documentation.
The Meralco Theater holds a significant place in Philippine cultural life. The renovation approach treats that heritage with care, ensuring that the building's reinvention is grounded in a precise and respectful reading of what already exists.
